The Gleaning Field Foundation was born out of a heart of thanksgiving to a wonderful God
who meets the needs of people when they cry out to Him.  The founder, Rosa Davis, found
herself in situations in 1976, where she needed a miracle.  God met her need beautifully.
She discovered that 95% of the time He uses
people to meet needs and not manna from
heaven.  As a result of her need being met,
she wanted to reach out to others in the same
way.  Rosa discovered that in God’s Word,
He gave instructions for the care of the poor,
homeless, needy, aliens, widows and orphans.

Leviticus 19:9-10
And when ye reap the harvest of your land,
thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field,
neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy
harvest. And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard,
neither shalt thou gather every grape of
thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor
and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

It was through the process of gleaning, where
by food was purposefully left for them.  From
the abundance of a few, many were blessed.

No one should lack food or clothing in America.  We are blessed to live in a country of
great freedom, abundance and opportunity.  Sadly, not everyone enjoys that abundance.  If
we would share what God has given us, we could bless others with the basic necessities
of life like food and clothing.  Due to economic changes, unforeseen disasters,
unemployment and other factors, more and more families have become homeless or
needy.  The Gleaning Field Foundation is reaching out to those people in North County to
help them through their difficult times.  If you have an abundance to share we could use
your help to meet their physical and spiritual needs

Since 1976 Rosa has been out in the field ministering the Gospel when opportunity
arises, along with food and clothing, to the poor, homeless and needy. Her passion is to
see every church operating food and clothing storehouses; blending natural needs with
spiritual needs. If you would like her to come and train your Benevolent Department, she is
available.

Matthew 25:34-40
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungry,
and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took
me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye
came unto me .Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee and
hungry, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and
took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and
came unto thee?  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it
unto me.

Was Jesus talking about you?  Are you among the righteous?  Are you willing to reach out
and share your abundance with someone less fortunate than you?  Would you like to be a
blessing in someone's life?
You can.

The Gleaning Field Foundation is an all volunteer, non-profit organization and your
donations are tax deductible.  None of our workers receive a salary.  Our reward is in
serving others and in doing so; serving our Lord Jesus.  All donations are dedicated to
support distributions to the homeless and needy.  Your gift of your time, non-perishable
food items, clothing, sleeping bags, backpacks and cash donations are greatly
appreciated.  Please donate items that are new or at least clean and in good condition.
